I have a really hard time keeping my coupons organized. This can be really frustrating, as well as costing me money. There are many times that I have gone to a store and saw something that would be a great deal with my coupon but I can't find the coupon or my binder is at home. Or how many times I have paid full price for something because I needed it and didn't have my coupons with me.
I would love to read about any tips for organizing coupons. My current method is a binder with sheet protectors in it. I have labeled each protector with a month. I place each insert that I get into the corresponding month's protector.
Also check out the giveaway on www.5dollardinners.com . Erin is giving away a coupon binder on her blog.

Today we went to K's moms and visited with her for about an hour. She seems to be doing pretty good and she enjoys visiting with the kids. K's dad was gone to Rockwood with a load of scrap so we didn't see him. K was going to borrow a grease gun from his dad but since we didn't see him we stopped by Advance Auto and bought one there. Money is kind of tight this month but he really needed to grease those bearings before he tore up his truck again.
We took his truck for a test drive after he got the bearings greased and stopped by to see my brother, E, and his family. Today was his oldest daughter, M's, first full day of school. She seems to have had a good time. E was playing Socom as usual and D, his wife, was cleaning up dinner. The kids always like to go and visit their family.
The kids and I swam today after they got home from school. The water was awesome. It felt like a warm bathtub. I love having a swimming pool. None of the kids are scared of water, which is a good thing.
I am reading The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. I went to a yard sale and the preacher there told me that I could have it if I would read it. It is an interesting book. I am on Chapter 6. I read Chapter 5 today and I really got something from it. I really questioned where God was after Dad died. I felt like God deserted me. I felt like God didn't want me. I would beg God to come into my life but I never felt His presence. I still don't feel His presence but I am still searching and believe that after I pass this test then maybe I will be a stronger Christian. I believe that part of my purpose being on this Earth is to educate and bring my children closer to God. I will be working towards that purpose now.

Gift cards and coupons
Today K got his truck fixed for the most part. He had a time getting the bearings off on the back of the drive shaft but after heating them up with a torch and beating til his ears rang, he finally got it! He still needs to grease them and then it should be as good as new.
I worked with Piggy some on writing and spelling her name. She is so smart but gets discouraged very easily. I have found that as I go through all of the stages with my kids that the things I once found to be so important aren't really. I really want to teach Piggy how to write her name but I am not going to worry about writing the alphabet, counting to 100 or those bigger milestones. She will learn those in Kindergarten and that way she wont be bored. She already knows her shapes, colors and how to count to 15. She can verbally spell her name as well. I am not concerned with the other things right now.
Tonight I won a $75 off $100 coupon for Old Navy. The downside is that I have to use it this week but seriously how hard will that be?! I will pay $25 for $100 worth of clothes! I have been stressed for Christmas so this will be awesome. Unless I crack and give the kids their clothes earlier.
I have already started Christmas shopping and have bought something for each member of my immediate family. K doesn't want to go anywhere this year for Christmas. We usually go to my Mom's house on Christmas Eve and exchange gifts but K is really pulling against that this year. I can understand that in some ways but it is hard to break that tradition. I don't like hurting people's feelings.
I am not sure if we will be able to afford Christmas gifts for other people this year either. I use MyPoints to earn gift cards and I have earned enough points for a $75 gift card to Amazon so I will be using that to help purchase for the kids and K. I have actually put together a Christmas list for myself this year so I am kind of excited to receive gifts again. MyPoints is an awesome sight. I receive emails from them daily that I can click on and, for each one I click, I get 5 points. You can also earn points by joining book clubs, shopping through their links, etc. All of the businesses that they use are legitimate, well known companies. I have earned gift cards for Pizza Hut, Cracker Barrel and Amazon. Earning points is easy and the gift cards always come really quickly. You can sign up for MyPoints on their website or you can leave me a comment with your email address and I will send you a referral. I will receive points for each referral that I get. You don't have to use me for a referral but you should check them out as they are a great way to earn extras.
Today Baby Girl has started picking up on even more words. She found daddy's belly and ear.

Random ramblings
Today was the 3 oldest kids first day of school. They were really excited to go back. They were beginning to get bored all the time. I have to admit that I am ready to get back into a routine. I love sleeping in and just taking each day as it comes but that does not allow much room for getting things done.
We ran to Harriman to get breakfast at McDonalds, which was yummy as usual. Then we ran over to WalMart to get some groceries. It was a really relaxing trip since K wasnt complaining about the kids. lol
K's truck is squeaking and so we stopped to buy some U-Joints at Auto Zone. I really hope that fixes it as I hate spending money on stuff and still having the same problem.
Baby Girl has picked up a new word, "Hush". She will point her little finger at you and say "Hush!" It is just too cute. I have tried to get a picture but she isn't going for it. She calls her cup a BaBa. She knows it is a cup but she is stubborn. Today K tried to get her to say cup and everytime she would come back with BaBa. She gets her stubborness from her mother. :)
Yay-ya is loving the 8th grade. She is in the advanced math class and if she does good then she gets to go to Algebra 1 next semester. That will also count as a high school credit. Wow, high school has really snuck up on me! I can't believe my baby will be in high school next year. That is nuts.
Little Man is switching classes this year for the first time. He likes all of his teachers and is adapting to the classroom switching well. He was a little nervous at first but likes it now. He is very much like his daddy.
Little Princess is pushing limits now. Everyday seems to be a power struggle with her. She tells me that she WONT do this or WONT do that. I know where this is going. Been there, done that, don't want another t-shirt. So we are nipping it in the bud as Barney Fife once said. I'll let you know how that goes.
Piggy is constantly surprising me with how smart she is. She comes up with things that just really blow me away. She has told me that she wants to be homeschooled next year so that I can be her teacher and daddy can be the principal. Do you think that is because she has daddy wrapped around her little finger? ;) She wants me to go ahead and start teaching her now and then she wants to go to kindergarten next year.
K was better today. He was more relaxed and we had a nice discussion about the kids and our expectations. I think he realizes that he expects too much from Yay-ya and she is just a kid. I hope that our talk makes a difference and they can become closer to each other.
I am doing pretty good. I had my Celexa dose increased from 10mg to 20mg. I haven't noticed a change yet but I will keep taking it. I don't want to go back to that dark hole I was in before. I still really miss my Dad and I guess that wont change but I am able to function again in my life. That is important with all these kids. It is time to take back my home and not let the kids control it anymore.

Eye doctor, CVS and coupons
Today Little Princess had an eye doctor's appointment. She is far sighted. One eye is .25 and the other is 2.25 so we got to order some glasses! She picked out a cute frame that she liked. She does have to go back within 2 weeks to get her eyes dilated, which she is dreading, but the eye doctor wants to make sure everything is ok. She has to wear her glasses all the time for the next 3 months. Dr. Larson will check them again at that time and if she hasn't improved then he will send her to a pediatric optometrist for a second opinion.
After the eye doctor, we went to CVS. I love to go coupon shopping! I purchased the following:
2- Huggies diapers
1- Neutrogena Quad Eyeshadow
1- Coppertone
1- Revlon Colorstay Foundation
2- CVS/Caliber Memo books
2- 1" Binders
2- Pilot Easy Touch Pens
2- pkgs CVS filler paper
1- Tot Stapler
Total OOP (out of pocket) was less than $5 and I got $8 in ECB (extra care bucks) for some of next weeks sales! Can you see why I love to shop at CVS?!
In other news, I got Little Man's appointment information for the urologist. He goes on Monday, August 17. Please keep him in your prayers. I have to admit that I am a little worried but I try to remember that God is in charge and to trust in Him. It is hard but I am working on it.
